About PCA
PCA is an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) providing SaaS solutions including scheduling software and mobile applications for service-oriented organizations. Our software allows customers to schedule work for service engineers, who then use our mobile apps to receive instructions and register completed tasks.
PCA breathes High Tech. We develop our software in-house from Raalte. Our team of 35 people—sales, support, and developers—works continuously to add value for our customers. A key value in PCA’s proposition is the ability to interface with other systems. We sell our solutions in numerous markets, but have a strong position in social housing, construction companies, and installation companies.
Service processes are short: jobs often take less than 2 hours. Efficient routing is critical to maximize workforce output. PCA has developed its own route optimization algorithms specifically tailored to customer needs.
Our software is highly configurable. Built on top of these configuration options is a workflow application where users can configure their system through drag-and-drop and setting workflow node parameters.
Your challenge
The assignment focuses on investigating how we can use a Large Language Model (LLM) to simplify workflow configuration. You will:
- Explore methods to train an LLM using the workflow application code and numerous existing configurations.
- Investigate how users could prompt for a new configuration or modify an existing configuration using natural language.
- Test and evaluate the feasibility, usability, and accuracy of AI-driven workflow configuration.
- Provide a report or prototype demonstrating how an LLM could support PCA users in creating and altering workflows efficiently.

Your profile
- You are pursuing an academic degree Data Science or a related field.
- You have experience with machine learning and AI models, preferably LLMs.
- You are analytical, independent, and solution-oriented.
- You are familiar with software architecture, APIs, and workflow systems.
